Would recommend the trip swimming with sharks (more paddling than swimming!!) which was awesome, and the guide was a marine biologist and therefore very knowledgable about sharks, turtles etc. Wonderful holiday, very quiet hotel- so relaxing, not a great deal to do on the island so had to lie around the swim up pool all week :). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they. There's entertainment every night, including local dancers, a singer, and a strange competition in which the participants had to nominate a good song to dance to and when the song was played, the compere counted the number of dancers and the song with the most was the winner. The only down side is the hassle from people trying to sell stuff, which is a right pain tbh, so I put on my best menopausal resting bitch face and just kept walking.Įxcellent and varied food at every meal, delicious pasta/salads/soup/local food etc., and the best desserts I've ever had abroad- also went to 2 of the on-site restaurants which is included in the price- The Culinarium- out of this world- and Casa Nostra- not so much: portions too big and very miserable staff. The pier in the town is a real experience, very authentic and immersive- fishermen bringing in their catch, drummers using plastic bottles on the floor, and the sea is a sight to behold, the most clear blue water I've ever seen.
